**Pyramids
Run in circles
But fall in squares
If delta is a triangle
Then I fall into your Nile
Willingly
The moon sits with the stars
While the sun longs fervently
But if one stood on pyramids
They’d reach each other
With equal intensity
Like I unknowingly
Reach for you
Sometimes blindly
But in you
I find a beauty
That out riddles the sphinx
I watch the stars
Become morning rays
And regret
The pyramids I’ve lost
Sand dunes
Washed away
And your smile
Makes me long for the hills
And the gentle breeze
That could carry me back
To a new life
To you
But I love the minutes
In between
The sadness
That brings joy
The minutes that turn to hours
When we speak
And I listen intently
Though you would think otherwise
But Im distracted by your voice
And only catch
Some of the words you say
That sing song siren call
That makes me happy
So the moon
Counts the days
Like she counts the stars
Til she can feel the sun
Warm her flesh
For the first time
