Quebec Failed Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Quebec Failed

Quebec Failed

Today, government official
In Quebec, Canada`s
Descendant of French,
Went behind podium.

He, too, had practised;
Apologise in sleeves.

He sought the forgiveness
Of many Indigenous…

Such actions in these days
Is fashion, screen, television.

The shows that do good, well
Come back on screen;
In summer, binge watching.

Apologies are in line
In UN, U.S.A, Canada,
To Sydney, wherever
One can find trace of
The European genocide!

Peace seekers are kids or descendants
Of killers-invaders of North, South,
To East, West, every part of Europe.

From the audience
I hear a weak voice;
Rich with the mistrust…

Feel laughter and cries
Deep in the badly lost
Voice of a small child
In the arms of a Mom.

Walk to them, go near
Can hear the whisper:
"They speak in their tongue;
Where is mine? Is murdered? "
