Quest Poem by Sawmitra Roy

Quest

Rating: 5.0

A journey,
Which I undertook,
Since the time unknown…
Since the form undefined…

I am a soul,
In an oblivion of my genesis
In an oblivion of my entity
Free and unbound I am.
But I craved to feel the worldly affinity,
How it feels to be bounded one
Will it be atrocious? Will it be pleasant?
Thus scend my quest.

So to allay this thirst, I took birth here.

I am a soul,
In an oblivion of my genesis
In an oblivion of my entity
Trapped and bound in a body I am
Adventured through many paths
But this seemed asphyxia with time
And for the ultimate exemption…
Thus scend my quest.

So to allay this thirst, I did die here.

But it always remained with me…my quest…
To infer this quest, precisely, is a quest itself...

The journey never began,
The journey will never end.
A circle of quests…
Life, death is just to be pretended...
And I, the traveler, just travel in the rotary,
In a search…In a quest.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
our life...is a quest to know something at every stage...our death is also a quest to be free and to know something...and in every quest of ours the soul travels alone to get the answers...which is again an ultimate quest.
