Questions I'Ve Asked A Thousand Times Poem by Heidi K. Haskell

Questions I'Ve Asked A Thousand Times

Did I leave the oven on?
Did I turn the AC off?
Did that fax go through?
Did I spell that right?

Should I get up at dawn?
Should I ask the doctor about this cough?
Should I dye my hair blue?
Should I go out tonight?

How does a possum know when to wake up?
How can I learn how to dance?
How do I finish all I've begun?
How do you make Bananas Foster?

Can I get a cause to take up?
Can I get a second chance?
Can I get another one?
Can I possibly get any loster?

Why can't life be easy?
Why do I think that it should be?
Why won't my caged bird sing?
Why is that so upsetting?

What if tomorrow is breezy?
What if you misunderstood me?
What if I don't know anything?
What am I forgetting?
