Ragged Trouser's Revisited (2018) Poem by Tom Allport

Ragged Trouser's Revisited (2018)

O' not to be in England
Now there is not so much joy?
With worker's losing job's
And a Government out to destroy
People's lives in limbo
Where nobody cares
Long gone the cloak of fairness
Instead blanket's of despair
In this green and envious land
Surely, it's a disgrace
Ordinary folk once again
Having to pay the price.

here is a challenge for you Tom. in 2019, see if you can cut down on your use of apostrophes (where they aren't supposed to be) . and where is the cheery poem? you know. the one where EVERYBODY gets everything a person could want, anytime s/he wants it! i hope your luck holds out. bri (:

A very perceptive write on the injustices of government. A government that should protect but instead it destroys. A meaningful piece of work 10
