Aryaman Naik (July 3,1995 / Mumbai, India)
Rain, Rain
Rain, Rain
Don't come again,
And eclipse the sun
On days on end.
And flood the green earth
And submerge houses
And drown unwary sheep and cattle,
And lead unsuspecting men
Into manmade manholes
And keep anxious women
From reaching their homes.
And push cats and dogs
From dark and dense skies
And bring a kitten, hungry and sleepless
Knocking at my door.
I hope you will not go unpunished
For your wayward behaviour
And deluge unimaginable
On the wettest
July 26th day.
