Rainbow Poem by Minerva Agriam

Rainbow

In a city full of pain
A rainbow has come;
Full of beauty, full of promise,
Full of life, full of love.

A childish heart may
Make a wish;
And a loving heart may care,
For a beloved who dare.

A dreaming poet may paint,
And a young fool may guess;
For a beautiful future to come.

A balladeer may draw a song,
And a scientist may predict;
For the world to see tomorrow.

I know Im not telling
Any truth about things;
For anything about
The world I can't prophese.

I am only playing, I know I'm
Only dreaming;
Whence I turned around I saw
A rainbow vanishing from the sky.
