People say I'm good at writing poetry
What you think I write for?
I speak my thoughts real loud
Like a lions roar
Say something bout mine
I'll turn your life to a cold war
Switch it up hot war
2 jumps knocking on Iraqi's door
And I'm too old
Tryin to keep a beef
I'll pass it away
Without even losing sleep
People say...
He's nice, hes so sweet
Make no mistakes
He was still raised by the streets
Ima school you
Bring you in for show and tell
Cut your head off
So you hear the stories I tell
Hold it in the air
I show they tell
Breathe in and hold the smell
Getin paid off my story tales
This is me having fun
Throwing words on a line
My doctors will even tell you
I'm out my f! @‪#‎ing‬ mind
And it didn't happen over night
Jus over time
But I can be real with it
Cutting deep like a broken valentine.

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
