I was the child
who got raped
I was the child
that held it all in
I was the child
giving a dirty slate
I was the child
given this sin
I am the child
who told a friend
I am the child
my pain now ends
I am the child
with a fresh start
I am the child
forgiveness in my heart
I am the child
my Love will show
I am the child
who has let this go.
TRACET...THIS IS A HEARTWRENCHING PIECE...IT IS SOMETHING(IWOULD THINK) I WOULD NOT HANDLE IN THE WARRIOR FASHION SO SADLY, BUT COMPELLINGLY DESCRIBED IN THIS AWESOME DISPLAY OF COURAGE AND PRIDEFUL EMOTION...YOU GOT ME AT A LOSS, EXCEPT TO SAY...VERY WELL DONE WORK UNDER THE MOST DIFFICULT OF CONDITIONS...FRANK
Great... Happy to see you take up life with a positive and new beginning...
Thanks for your comment on my poem Thanks Mom, and I glad to here that you have dealt with your own abuse. And I can here your pain yet forgiveness through this poem. When I say forgiveness I don't mean your forgiveness toward your rapist, but your forgivenss of no longer blaming yourself. Much peace to you.
Blessed you who mercy show, forgiveness you invest. At harvest reap you mercy, and know that you've been blessed. God bless you. DGP
I know how you feel, I got raped at the age of 7. But for you to write a poem about it I respect you so much more.
