Re-Setting The Mind Poem by Phil Soar

Re-Setting The Mind

When tiredness tells me I should be asleep
When aching limbs suggest I rest my feet
When all my thoughts tell me it's time frown
I wish I could press 'reset' and then lie down

When stars above grow dim under dark skies
When I know more than I ever realised
When I cannot see the forest for the trees
I wish I could relax and be at ease

When reading becomes more or less a chore
When my eyes are red and feeling sore
When simple things are too much of a strain
I wish I could 'reset' and start again
