Reach:
into yourself for your self;
self address your priorities,
as well as, mail yourself a surprise.
Reach:
until your mind reaches back,
and delivers a better understanding,
of what your father said was a vision:
in the things, your mother dreamt.
Reach back;
and thoughtfully go forward,
to when you were a child;
sitting in your grandfather's church,
and let your memory “listen” once again:
to what your grandmother spiritually preached.
Reach high:
like stars sprinkling down
and showering you from heaven,
with brothers & sisters,
as the whole world gets to know;
that you are not ashamed
to get on your knees,
to pray for them;
as they have prayed for you.
Reach:
like a pick-pocket;
into the pockets of golden opportunity
and let prosperity-
hand you back... buried treasure.
Reach:
like “tomorrow” is a mystery
hopefully solved,
and today is all the 'hope, '
you asked for yesterday;
that your 'teacher, ' hoped
you would believe in today.
Reach:
for the idea of love worth finding;
in those who love you too,
and share some beautiful moments,
with those who found love,
from you, in you: a gift.
Reach:
for the idea of life itself,
as your children’s' children
breathe your existence
and the idea of “you, ” multiplies.
Reach out:
like everyday of your life,
is a birthday party,
with every breathe taken:
the sweet gift of ice cream & cake.
Reach into places:
that had no previous history,
to find if cancer's cure
is yours to discover in the future,
and let what you scientifically find: add
as well as, include.
Reach as high as you can.
Reach for all the places:
your mind goes to in Disney World,
that your imagination wonders about
and actually... send your body there.
Reach down deep:
like life is warning you,
to build another Noah’s Ark,
and you have to reach deeper
to build it: before it rains.
Reach and keep reachin':
like life is a beautiful thing,
and “today” is all the tomorrow...
yesterday ever needed.
