Reaching The Mountaintop Together Poem by Hebert Logerie

We will start early by walking in the valleys of love
At dawn, when the stars are sparkling far above
Our ultimate goal is to reach the apex of Everest
Together as a family, where we'll rest at the crest.

We will march on and fight on regardless of the weather
We will strive and struggle every divine second of the hour
We will spend days, weeks, months, years and centuries
Under lowering and rising temperatures, and changing skies.

We will get there in due time, because we are indeed resilient
God told us to take extreme patience, to be strong and tolerant
We will get there together as a community, as a united country
Yes, we will walk under the bright and shining moons as a family.

Reaching the apogee or the top pinnacle of the mountain won't be easy
We will encounter beasts, bums, mobs, rocks, crabs, snow, sleet and ice
Nothing and nobody will be capable of stopping us. Armed with devices
From God, we will overcome all types of hurdles, hedges or difficulties.

As we hope and dream, we'll valiantly cross valleys and mounts of love
We will fall, stand up, stomp, sing, and rise under the sparkling stars above
As planned and blessed by the Almighty, we'll reach the apex of Everest
With our brothers, sisters and neighbors, where we'll rest wholly on the crest.
