Reality Poem by Tammi Salazar

Reality

With as many tears I have shed and the amount of smiles we shared.
The love still lingers in us.
I know that without a doubt that you hurt as well.
I cannot find hate or anger
because i know you did it for the best
For once it was not about falling for a fairy tale
The visions of reality finally did not seem bad
There was no prince charming or a white horse galloping on the beach
Just a man with his truths, his life, and his heart.
The mere memory still makes my heart skip a beat
O what a chance that would have been for us.
