Reality Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Reality

Hears the wolf outside the walls
Shuddering as sheetrock falls
He’s coming in to shut her down
There goes tumbling her rhinestone crown
This fantasy she’s built her life into
Has now come fumbling and shattered through.
Doleful admittance to herself
She’s not the talent, her heart always felt.
