Reckless Burn Poem by A.J. McKinley

Reckless Burn

Rating: 2.7

Sometimes a flame burns so hot it consumes itself.
Just as breath gives life; so yours fuels my soul.
I would go to you with reckless abandon…
But stuck I am.
Contingent upon moments of treasured glimpses.
Staring into what would slake my soul.
Gazing into the eyes of the heart.
I beat with wild enchantment.
I yearn, but will contain this scorching burn.
Time unravels all mysteries.
Yet…I am unknown still.
