Recollection Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Recollection

I recollect
Those glorious days
Of the spring
Inter-courses
And dialogues
Between the souls
Bodies and minds
Soothing
And pleasant
Whistling
Of the winds
Amazing whispers
In the darkness
Of mid-nights
Sometimes moonlit
Hours and hours
Of never ending
Long waits
Under those mango-trees
Alongside that dry pond
In utter solitude
Watchfully
Viewing
And celebrating
The sights and sounds
Of those melodies.

I recollect
Those glorious days
Of the spring
The movements
Every so often
So fast
Now, I see all
Doleful the hearts
Barren the meadows
And the cows so sad
Baleful those trees
Thorny-bushes
And the shrubbery
In gloom
That pond so dry
Sorrowful and despair
Emerged the universe
Once so live
And so sweet.

I recollect
Those glorious days
Of the spring
In utter nostalgia
Lamenting-
Let lie down
And be perpetuate
Those glorious days
Of the past
In my mind and soul
No one knows
As to when
Where and why
It would end
The uncertain
Breathe of this life.
