Recovering Poem by Ray Hansell

Recovering

Darkness fills my room
While sadness fills my heart
I am now the lonely one
Left to play the part

Of a man who is broken
Lost and all alone
On a lonely journey
Trying to find a place to belong

It's never very easy
When your world is ripped apart
I'm not sure of what to do
Sometimes one doesn't know where to start

I wonder if I'll ever recover
To get back to who I use to be
I wonder if that once happy man
Will ever again be carefree

I know I'm on my own
Trying to make it through
But deep inside I'm feeling
It's something I know I can do
