Reflection Poem by Papillion Hejduk

Reflection

The glass reflected this superficial version of a broken person
Living a broken life
Drowning in the tears she cries
She runs her hands along the glass
But she can’t feel her ice cold tears through the surface of the mirror
She touches scars that appear on the surface of the glass
Looming in her eyes
They are stricken with this fear
A grief, a sorrow she looks into her own eyes
But they are hollow
As she hangs by her neck
She’s so filled with regret
As through the corner of her eye
She watches herself die……
