Reflection Poem by Ciera Ivey

Reflection

Do you want to know who taunts?
Look in the mirror
You'll see the beast
Feel the damage
Understand the suffering
The scornful eyes
There is no diguise
It's all open
Your identity within
I am me
In the mirror
What you see
Is what I hate

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

It's not your hate you feel, its your mask you wear, its your soul they steal, it's rejection you fear, you sit alone with the beast, you invited him in for dinner, don't eat from this feast, don't become a sinner.
