Refuge Poem by Melissa Patty

Refuge

Through the crulling mountains I step upon the weakened grass
Consumed with an emptiness that never seems to pass
Born in the arms of an incredible mother
To then grow a beautiful love towards one another
For one fateful day a battle separated us so far apart
My strength thrives from her being the one to save my heart
Always the warrior that stood firm in what she truly believed
Treading her footsteps would be the greatest gift I'll have received
I'm no longer in my youth years as a young woman I stand
No matter where you are, your my refuge that will always be there to hold my hand.

"My mother has give me her most beautiful quality her STRENGH but most of all I'm her daughter and for that I'm honoured"
