Regrets In Retrospect. Poem by Ifeoluseyi ifeoluwapo Ifeyemi

Regrets In Retrospect.

Rating: 3.5

Together we had all modeled
Of tongues and fantasies they had blooming roots
Through death dreams drawn from thy psychic
loots
Followers of your paths
Awardees of your failures
Players of thy ancestral lineal core
Brought to act in thy graceless parlour
like a teat on a pectoral right
In impoverishment and steadfast scantiness
Betraying the counsel of faith
As those mansions made
Remained nestled in the wind
To the compliments of thy untamed shame
