Reincarnation Poem by Doris Cornago

Reincarnation

Rating: 4.0

Alone together in a small room

A window opens to clear the gloom

You are an old man and I am young

You are escaping, I have returned.

I am sent back on eagle's wings

So many days in travel, waiting

Know you how far the distance

From heart to mind, perchance?

As I softly enfold you in my arms

I am speechless with distress

You are wet with tears and fears

Where have gone all the years?

Nobody knows what natural law to blame

You and I are just players in this game

Where are the roads, where goes the maze

Secrets are well kept in this universe.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
If there was a chance to come back from the dead as in reincarnation, what would you do? What will be your first thought? Of course, a first concern would be to share the knowledge with somebody very special who is going down the same road. Every person is given a limited time in this world, but to be offered a second life is indeed a bonus. The poet says to be ready, and have in your mind that person who also deserves a second chance.
