Religion Poem by Nimmy.K Alilakuzhyil

Religion

In your heart lay the faith

But when your heart opens

Its the grief that pours out

In your eyes lay the truth

But when your eyes are open

Its the deciet that is witnessed

In your hands lay the harmony

But when your hands are raised

Its the deadly weapons that clashes

In your words lay the peace

But when you speak up

Its the vengeance that comes out

In your breath lay the wisdom

But when you inhale

Its the idiocy you imbibe

In your ears lay the holy chanting

But when your ears sense

Its the sweeping animosity that's heard out

In your brain lay the valor

But when you think

Its traps the intricate web of cowardice

Twisting your whole sytem

You are now handicapped

Though a human

Born to love, sympathy and happiness

Yet languishes as a devil

Spreading evil, terror and misery

Lost is your identity

Ripped of your soul

Frozen and left alone in

Impassive dark world
