Religion Harnessed

Regardless how the foe may fight
However sharp the sword
Victorious in armour bright
We’ll stand through Christ TheLord

I could be still and lost as these
Blundering through the night
But Jesus came whilst on my knees
And blest my soul with Light

With finger Lord I dare not point
Though hatred’s kept them blind
I can but pray more hearts anoint
That love may change their mind

If they could see Your handwork Lord
Have knowledge of your love
They’d lay aside their thirsty sword
And seek The way above

I too deceived was walking dead
From life and love apart
Frolicking in the devil’s bed
Till Heaven touched my heart

Through grace these eyes began to see
Through love, faith’s gift was mine
The Truth of Jesus set me free
To hope of life divine

You are my hope my heart’s desire
Fulfilment of my soul
The source my God that all require
To make a sinner whole

I pray my God these words may tell
May journey near and far
That others too may steer from hell
Knowing of who You are
