Remembering Auden Poem by Jay Kasturi

Remembering Auden

Two horns follow an oboe’s gait
in single-minded trance,
not minding the clarinet's caution
and the piccolo's feigned passion
till the bassoon coughs
and spoils the romance.

(1989)

In the burrows of the Nightmare
Where Justice naked is,

And coughs when you would kiss.
