Remembrance Poem by Varna Soyokaze

Remembrance

Will thee remember me
When I depart thy chapters
Not for days long or eternity
Just a second, however small it be

Not when winter, snow regains
Nor while Autumn's leaves shed
nor through Summers long days, it gains
Not within the spring and shines the wain

Will thee then recall my face
And let me dwell in thy heart
Or utter the usurious of my name in grace
While the pulchritude would embrace

When I leave and I'm gone
Don't detach thyself from all
Weep not for the days forgone
On such moments just smile on.

Think of me as a floating cloud
As a soft mild Zeypher
As a far murmur, not loud
Or a whisper that Kono-hara had endowed

I just seek a Moment's thought
A smile as thee think of me
Not for long hours thee got
Just for a moment to forget me not!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Some where in the summer afternoon of 2015,sudden thought struck my mind. I was taking a walk by a small pond nearby, and while I stared at the reflection of he nearby trees in the water, the lines came into my mind. As the soft breeze with the smell of fresh pond water came around me, I wondered how I want to be remembered. I don't want to be forgotten, nor do I want others to weep and cry over my departure. That's when I penned this down.
It's been years, and I didn't turn back to writing. After my graduation this year, I started looking for my old diaries, searching for this poem.
