Reminders

With teeth bad, as they are
I take leaps into time.

Mother Young
I am child
She sure is strong
With a hand lifts me up
As if I, weigh walnut
She orders and demands:
"Walk head up with pride, "
Takes needle, to punish
Slaps us as if sheep
When we do the thing wrong.

Time flies.

She is old, I am young
In centre is the food
Family sits around
Spread table cloth
Sofreh is on the ground
All the hands aim for bowl
We eat same as if one.

Now we know her trick
Tears bread leaves it in
And takes the softer part
Has no tooth for hard one.

In kitchen I felt same
Have no tooth to bite hard.

A great reminder to all of us... sensitive poem, a beautiful sketch of words reminding us of our fragile existence.
