Reminiscence Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Reminiscence

Suffering:
A sense of learning
And joy
When it's past.
Silent memories
Of hardships
And the blows of time
Time so departed
Are always sweeter
Than the present
Presence of delight.
A power and paradox
Of past reminiscences.
People think-
Poverty is being hungry
Naked and homeless
Besides, being unwanted
Unloved and uncared.
But, one must remedy:
The poverty of being lazy
Careless and unmindful
Negative and pessimistic.
Whereas:
‘Solution to each problem
Lies in education not bombs.'
