Return To The Ocean Poem by Casey Jarrell

Return To The Ocean

Across the sea,
I can see a light that's guiding me towards my destiny.
In my soul,
I can feel that there something missing deep inside of me.

When I sail across the water,
I will get to see the ones that I truly love.
In my heart of pure light,
I promise to come back home!

I will return to the sea, and the ones that I love!
We're separated, but I know they care for me.
I will return to the sea, and the ones that care for me!
In my heart, I know they will say that 'I love you'.

In my heart,
I can tell that the sea is unsteady, so I go back to see what is wrong.

Even in a storm,
I will be by their side.
With all of my might,
I'll be the hero deep inside.

I will return to the sea, and the ones that I love!
We're separated, but I know they care for me.
I will return to the sea, and the ones that care for me!
In my heart, I know they will say that 'I love you'.

I will return to the sea, and the ones that I love!
We're separated, but I know they care for me.
I will return to the sea, and the ones that care for me!
In my heart, I know they will say that 'I love you'.
