Reunion Poem by somebody else

There is someone I was glad to know,
he taught me well, and watched me grow.
I am proud of the example he set, and will follow his ways,
by loving and serving God, the remainder of my days.
He did well, and has finished the race,
and has left us now to go take his place.
And we all will miss him very much,
for there are many lives he did touch.
But I know God will fill the void in my heart,
and it is only for a short time that we must part.
For soon the Book of Life will be complete,
then in Heaven again we'll meet.
Till then I give thanks for the memories and times we had,
and I love you God for saving my Dad.
