Revenge Of The Turkeys (A Thanksgiving Poem) Poem by Practicing Poetess

Revenge Of The Turkeys (A Thanksgiving Poem)

Rating: 4.9

Two turkeys took a pilgrim
And tied him to a spit
And then, they turned him round and round
Over a fire lit.

I wonder, said one turkey
How long he has to roast
I think, replied the other
Until he's brown, like toast!

I like the way you turned this one around! Roasted pilgrims... sweet revenge. Can’t wait to see Revenge of the Chickens - they’re on the table 365 days a year.

I'm not certain, Laurie, that the chickens would ever take their revenge. But the turkeys are larger, so it makes it easier for two of them to gang up on an unsuspecting pilgrim!
