Reverie Poem by Diana van den Berg

Reverie

I knew you
once, tomorrow,
in dove-grey blues
and multitudinous forest greens
and rich tawny browns
and old amber golds,
in Februaries and Aprils,
in ocean waves,
in delicious summer rains
and puddles to splash in,
in laughter and tears,
in fragile glass horses,
in the dance of the seven veils,
in shudder-sweet songs
that lift us high
flying free
amongst clouds playing touch
in skies the colour of infinity,
in esperanza talk
and secret moonlight silence.
