Revive Those Dead Ones Poem by kalpana shah

Revive Those Dead Ones

I can't even say
I have left hope aside
Here we are facing dark days
Never ending death rates
Escalating with speed
Prayers being unheard
Pleas falling on deaf hearts

Neglected patients
Dying outside hospitals
Gasping for breathe
the ones whose hope fluttering
Demanding lungs
For supply of O2

Relatives, kids, women, men
Every one's eyes moistens
Wailing, howling cursing,

Unstoppable tears..
To fall..
Throughout their lives
Will miss their loved ones
For their whole life
Will be left alone with memories

Fragrance of different flowers
Will remind days of togetherness
Those fresh fragrances
Will be dried with the seasons
Merged with fragrance of incenses
Will burn to revive fragrances of golden days

Imagination growing strong
From photo frames
In different sizes
Will be hanging on the walls
Wails will stop
Coz no one will hear or ignore
Still! Universe will stay guilt free

No one will feel pain
Hearts will suffer blocks
From every house one will hear
Almost similar story
of sufferings and deaths
So hearts will then turn heartless

One more straw left to burden
For additional grievances
is the count of deaths
To fill the forms for death certificates
And the name appearing
In register
collecting statistics of deaths
And the names of loved ones
Will Change into number
No name will be left
Left behind will be ID number
