Rhythm Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Rhythm

Rhythm

Birds knew what to sing
-same was with music
-elegant with rhythm,
-each had beat

Monkey-man
This trash
(As always…)

Unaware to fly
-unable to see core
-could not get to the bone

Blabbered as true charlatan,
-to preach used altar:
-'That is old…out of time…
-we follow new faith…'

Poetry had rhythm
-like faiths of Indigenous
-with nature family, relative
-metric made the bricks of building
-a house or castle or fortress
-strong with firmness
-valuable monuments

Then came the
-shameless and useless and
-harmful…and…illiterate
-took throne and crown
-among them is Nassy
-daily in my mirror!

We write junks, in massive
-scatter in desert as the huts of ghetto
-same as did the hunters; the pens of droppings

So poets like Nassy
-are worthless and cows' shit…
-and logic?
-compare old with new; music to lyrics
