Right& Fair- A Chained Mind Poem by Ashika Murali Acharya

Right& Fair- A Chained Mind

Rating: 5.0

They tell you what is right and fair,
The moment you see the first lights glare,
The question that you can ask,
And the ones those you shouldn't care,
The choices that you can ever make,
And the ones you shouldn't dare,
Placed right on the path,
That has been paved for you,
Life pushes you along,
With no chance to pause or think
Of any place that you truly belong.
We live our lives,
Behind the veils of expectations
The way that has been taught to them.,
The ones that has been hunched to you,
A perfect road map to live a life.
But the best of this race has dared to dream,
And dared to meander off this track,
They still could sail through all rough winds
As they did not fear the fear of getting lost,
If the winds turn unruly and rough someday.

Nice one! It reminded me of Frost's ' The road less travelled'.
