Romantic Shore Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Romantic Shore

Rating: 3.5

Hand in hand you and I went roaming
through silver and golden sand,
when suddenly we left this old world
to fly to a fantasy land....

A land where tall stately galleons
sail across amethyst seas
and breezes are softly echoing
a song for the swaying palm trees.

Girls wearing blue silken dresses
dance to a sleepy lullaby, and
birds of paradise spread their wings
as with beauty they grace the sky.

Charred reains of an ancient castle
look back into history ~ and ramparts
where many battles were fought
told us that we were free...

Free to walk hand in hand forever
along a peaceful romantic shore
'twas a magical dream within a dream
fashioned on grand days of yore.
