रफ़ीक़ों से रक़ीब अच्छे जो जल कर नाम लेते हैं
गुलों से ख़ार बेहतर हैं जो दामन थाम लेते हैं

Better than enemies are
two rivals in love with a women
Enemies kill eachother
Rivals, though they hate eachother
Commen is their love.
Better than roses are
thorns
Roses fade, go away
And thorns love you
Holding your hem.
