Roving Souls Poem by Nikhat Bano

Roving Souls

I'm alone, up, above, and beyond,
you too are alive but aloof;
As the lightning crosses the sky in a wink,
we meet the same way at the brook.

The moon has whispered softly,
something into the ears of this night;
She has clasped the oak in her arms
with the looming darkness in her sight.

The moon has promised me....
he will come out of his tinsel town,
will stay untill I'm dazed by his poise.
Tip toeing quietly at sundown.

Some eyes will be on me and some on you,
O Love, I'll sneak in your dark and leave;
Alas! Can't keep you ever in my loop,
our love is rock but our hearts bleed.

A FULL MOON IN A DARK NIGHT IS QUITE ROMANTIC. IT SEEMS THE MOON IS IN A ROMANTIC CONVERSATION WITH THE NIGHT. ONE CAN HEAR THEIR SWEET TALKS IF ONE CAN LEND ONE'S SENSITIVE EARS AND SYMPATHETIC HEART.
