Sad Poem by Hopeless Heart

You’re so different from everyone
You sit there looking sad,
Everyone around you talking and laughing
And yet you sit there sad

Why are you so sad?
I want to know what does this to you,
Someone like you shouldn’t look that sad
When you smile you light up the room

I don’t know how you manage
To look so alone in a room full of people,
I know what that feels like
But tonight it shouldn’t be this way

Everyone should be happy
Even if it’s only fake happiness,
Enjoy this night and make the most of it
It only comes around twice in a life time, for most

Sadness can get rather boring,
Sometimes you need to break the restraints
Just break free and do the unexpected,
Who cares what people think just have fun

That night my restraints were broken,
I made myself had fun
Even if that meant being away from you,
I couldn’t sit there and watch you all night

I did try to make you smile
I succeeded but only for a second,
After that you went back to being sad
I want to make you happy for more than a second

One day I will succeed,
One day you will talk and laugh with everyone,
One day you will smile for more than a second,
And one day you won’t sit there and look sad.
