Sad Bird Poem by Lancealot Whiteknight

Sad Bird

A bird in a tree, tired of flying and wants to be free,
looks at the ground and whispers to me,
"i who have flown so many miles,
must not continue this aviation of skies,
iam tired and tarnished from what i have done,
so please help me not see the midnight sun".
Ironic i think, a bird who wants to be free.
I wish i had wings, and was able to fly,
but here you are, ready to die.
The bird replies ' you know what freedom is? pitiful humans who think they are wise,
i cannot express how i long my demise".
'You sorrowful bird listen to me,
fly away from this tree of darkness, or soon you will be but a carcass'.
Bird Replies'I hear you´re friendly whispers,
though this tree is not of darkness, but of freedom and what comes after,
and we both know thats no disaster.
"I´ve seen others before you, sitting in that tree,
saying what you said and then never a word,
so i beg you dear bird,
please listen to me,
you´re thoughts are not real,
and you will never be free".
