There’s a girl who sits in darkness
She curls up on her side
To hide from nightmares
She cries throughout the night
And never knows why
All they do is fight

When she goes out in the day
She smiles the pain away
Since she doesn’t look them
In the eyes
They never wonder why
She has sad eyes

After the sleepless nights
And death of dreams
Her hopes slowly dissolve
Into nothingness it seems
Nothing is left
But broken wings
And eyes that no longer sing

All that is left are sad eyes
And broken dreams
