Safe Place Poem by John Libertus

Safe Place

Rating: 4.0

I can’t find that box
of personalized checks
I got from the bank -
I distinctly remember holding it in my hand
and thinking to myself,
'I'd better put this in a safe place, '
and, of course, that's the last I saw of it.

I've done that all my life,
and it's made me realize
how rich I'd be -
how rich we'd all be -
if we could just find that safe place.

I don't hide anything anymore because of that, lol. Good poem. Sincerely, Connie Webb
