It's absolutely certain that it will
thousands of people
continue to read my poem
if they are, at least one,
would like it.
It's enough for me
that my poem belong
to those who read them.
What else would be the point of poetry? "

Pita me jesu li pjesme
na Poem Hanteru sigurne.
Odgovaram starom frazom:

"Postavila si odlično pitanje.
Apsolutno je sigurno da će
hiljade ljudi i dalje čitati
moje pjesme ako im se
bar jedna budu svidjela.
Meni je sasvim dovoljno
da moje pjesme pripadaju
onima koji su ih pročitali.
Šta bi drugo bio smisao poezije? "
