Sailing Too Far Poem by Satish Verma

Sailing Too Far

The priest drops the child
and will go celibate.
Time to wear a cloak.

Red clover weeps in
the veil. The moon will not stay
in the waning dark.

Will I face the sun,
when you don't stand by the―
river to save the boat?
