Salvaging Poem by Estefano Molina

Salvaging

I guess I'm not needed here
The people have spoken
And one must follow the crowd
Or risk being pushed aside
and be casted out by the rest
I prefer the latter
To keep some pride
A small victory for the present
But a life time of defeat
It may be so
But I must salvage what is left
or else what will become of me?
