Sanctuary

Rating: 5.0

When the thousand sorrows exploded unexpectedly
My whole being sunk to depths unimaginable,
And I ran.
I ran but there is no place to hide
The whole world is wired.
Millisecond is all it takes
To locate you.
Hence I walked in the open, embracing humanity
Aiding the poor and the weak, honing my skills
Sharpening my mind like forged steel,
Always battle ready, taut as spring.
Then humanity embraced me back,
Hiding me in the warmth of her embrace,
Safe and secure no questions asked
Never minding my name, who I am, what my background is
Where will I go next, what would become of me,
Such paradise here on earth, to be lost in plain sight.
