Saturday's Night Wander Poem by Marilyn Jean

Saturday's Night Wander

I went through the strangest of day
Then night came round bringing no rest
Now, I travel back to these moments
Lost flutters, quiet and impalpable
And I am longing again and more for you
Tonight my mind feels pleasantly stormy
I miss you, all this silence torments me
Yours absence here filled all, unending
This inexhaustible love engulfs me alive
Then, you should know if you share it too
I wish for more light not grim stillness
Yet, Saturday's wander lets me upside down
For now, likely a pillow is my only panacea
If only I could hope for your visit in a dream
I would go rushing there to meet you smiling
Then with this joyful love drifting around me
I would close my tired eyes and say I love you
