'Sausage Factory' Poets: (Inspired By Shaun Cronick's Acute Observations)

Posting as many poems as one can in a day
Is an exercise in futility it seems.
Obviously, there are some with plenty to say,
But structure is the key to conveying one's dreams,
Not just the first 'brainwave' that comes into one's head;
Not just the petulant scribbles of a mad fool.
I've noted that many of them are not well - read.
Perhaps, they should be required to return to school.
Poetry can be condensed, beautiful notions.
It takes time to master and is not mere child's play.
It is a blend, and balance, of thought and emotion.
So 'sausage factory' poets hear me I pray!
