She asked me one day something
She asked me if I could name one thing I like
I couldn’t think of anything other than her
I started to say all the words that I know
The teacher asked me the toughest question
I couldn’t think of an answer to give him
I looked around for help, but none came
I said all the words that I know
I know many words
I know how to fight and survive
I know that sometimes words fail me
I don’t know where we might end up
When I left the place, I didn’t know where to go
I took on the road and found my way around
She was looking for me around town
Saying all the words that I know helped me around
They asked me where I was from
I had lost myself on the road
The road had lost me
I said all the words that I know
I came around, made a sharp turn
Came and went pass town and city
Home felt so sweet, but I realized
That something was wrong
I couldn’t say any words that I knew
