Scars

Scars
We all have them
Emotional,
Physical,
mental.
Scars.
Can't hide them,
I see them in your eyes.
Scars.
Don't cry,
I'm here to make it right.
Scars.
They're what's left behind.
Scars.
Some from death,
all from Pain.
Scars.
Don't run,
It won't work,
They follow you everywhere.
Scars.
They are reminders.
Scars.
I'm glad,
I wouldn't want to forget.
Scars.
Where are yours?
Here,
There,
Hidden?

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
